Welcome to Bunnefit. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Bunnefit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Bunnefit mobile application and the Bunnefit website located at https://bunnefit.com (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Age Requirement

Bunnefit is intended for adults only. You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect or store information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that data from a minor has been collected, it will be deleted.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Choose to Provide (App Only)

Bunnefit allows you to optionally and voluntarily enter wellness-related and symptom-tracking information within the mobile application, including but not limited to:

Symptoms (such as body part, severity, and custom notes)

Mood

Sleep quality and duration

Energy levels

General wellness notes

In-app settings and preferences, including:

Theme color

Your bunny’s name

Your nickname

Optional biometric authentication data (if you enable biometric login)

All data is entered manually by you, except for optional biometric authentication used for app access. You may use the App anonymously if you choose not to provide a nickname or enable biometrics.

2.2 Website Information

When you visit the Bunnefit website, limited non-identifying information may be collected automatically, such as:

Browser type

Device type

General usage information (e.g., pages visited)

This information is used solely to ensure website functionality and is not linked to personal identity or health data.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

Bunnefit does not collect, request, or require:

Full name

Email address

Phone number

Physical or precise location data

Contact lists

Camera or microphone (unless you grant permission for photo journaling)

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash reports that contain health or wellness data.

2.4 Photo Journaling

If you choose to use the photo journaling feature, you may add photos from your device’s photo library to your daily reflections.

Storage: These photos are encrypted and stored exclusively on your device.

Privacy: They are never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.

Permission: Bunnefit will request permission to access your photo library solely to enable this feature. Access is not required for any other app functionality.

3. How Your Data Is Stored (App)

All personal wellness and symptom data you enter into the Bunnefit mobile application is stored locally on your device only.

We do not operate external servers for your personal health data.

Your personal wellness data is not transmitted to us or to any third party, with the sole exception of anonymized crash reports as detailed below.

Developers have no access to your personal information.

Where supported, we use industry-standard, device-level security practices (such as encrypted local storage with flutter_secure_storage) to protect data at rest.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

To help us improve the stability and performance of the Service, we use Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google. When the App crashes, Crashlytics automatically collects anonymized information about the crash, such as:

Device type and operating system version

App version

Anonymized stack traces (the location in the code where the crash occurred)

This information does not include any personal health data, reflections, photos, or other sensitive information you have entered. It is used solely for the purpose of identifying and fixing bugs. By using the Service, you consent to the collection of this anonymized crash data.

5. Cookies and Website Technologies

The Bunnefit website may use required cookies necessary for basic operation and performance. Optional cookies, if used, are limited to non-identifying functionality improvements.

We do not use cookies to collect health data, track individuals across websites, or build user profiles. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

6. Backups and Third-Party Services

If you choose to back up your device using third-party cloud services (such as iCloud or Google Drive), your Bunnefit app data may be included in those backups. These backups are governed by the privacy policies and security practices of the respective third-party providers.

Bunnefit does not control, access, or manage these backups.

7. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only to:

Enable core app functionality

Help you track and visualize wellness and symptom trends

Improve your personal self-monitoring experience

We do not:

Sell your data

Share your data with third parties (except for the anonymized crash reporting detailed above)

Use your data for advertising or marketing

Build user profiles

Transfer your personal health data off your device

8. User Consent and Transparency

By using the Service, you consent to the local storage and use of your data as described in this Privacy Policy. We clearly disclose what data is stored and how it is used, and there is no hidden data sharing beyond what is described herein.

If future features introduce new data handling practices (such as optional cloud sync or analytics), this Privacy Policy will be updated and user consent will be obtained where required.

9. Health & Medical Disclaimer

Bunnefit is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

All information entered into the App is for personal self-tracking and informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or care from a qualified healthcare provider.

10. Permissions

Bunnefit requests only minimal permissions necessary for functionality:

Notifications (optional): Used to remind you to log wellness data

Biometric authentication (optional): Used only if you enable biometric login to unlock the app

Photo Library (optional): Used only if you choose to add a photo to a reflection

11. Data Deletion and Your Rights

Because app data is stored locally on your device, you retain full control over your information. You may:

Access: View your data at any time within the App

Portability: Export your data where supported

Delete: Permanently remove your data by using in-app deletion options (when available) or by uninstalling the App

Uninstalling Bunnefit permanently and irreversibly deletes all associated app data from your device. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from uninstallation if you have not created your own device backups.

12. Legal and Regional Considerations

We strive to align with applicable privacy principles under laws such as GDPR and CCPA, including transparency, data minimization, user control, and security safeguards.

If future updates introduce features that process or transmit identifiable data, this Privacy Policy will be revised accordingly.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date will be revised. The updated policy will be made available on the website and within the App.
